PokyPow is your companion for conveniently powering on, off, resetting, and remotely monitoring your PC’s power state. This simple ESP32-based board gives you the power of a system administrator without purchasing enterprise-grade solutions.

Using standard PC power and USB headers, PokyPow makes your computer another device on your Home Assistant network. And since PokyPow uses standard ESPHome firmware, you can tweak the configuration or vet the code to ensure its trustworthiness. Whether you’re trying to save money on energy or want to have your gaming rig all fired up by the time you step in the door, PokyPow lets you control your PC like never before.

The Power is Yours

With PokyPow, you can configure any button in your smart home to power on or off your PC. Furthermore, by adding it to actions in Home Assistant, you can have your computer, lights, and any other accessories all power up or shut down under whatever conditions you choose. Other intriguing use cases include:

Parental control

Check how long the kids are playing games, and turn off the PC when it’s time for bed. You can also receive a notification when the PC is powered on, or the PokyPow is no longer on the network.

Automate updates

Power up automatically to run updates (Windows, Steam, etc.) so your gaming PC is always ready to play.

Save power

Have a server or NAS that is running 24/7? Reduce power consumption by shutting down the server overnight and pay less on your power bill.

Accessibility

This adapter makes it easier to power a PC that is hard to reach. It is perfect for a NAS PC in a rack or a home theater PC in an entertainment center.

Open, Reliable, and No Subscription Required

Since PokyPow is based on open hardware and software, you can be assured it’s yours forever. That means there’s no proprietary app required, no cloud, and never any subscription to use it. It includes an externally mounted Wi-Fi antenna that gives you a solid connection to your local wireless network.
