Touch Board Starter Kit

Details

Creative electronic tools - Make interactive projects using Electric Paint, the Touch Board and the Starter Kit

Electric Paint is an electrically conductive paint that makes it possible to draw a circuit, cold solder a component or turn any surface into a sensor. The Touch Board is a piece of hardware that can transform Electric Paint sensor data into sound, light or data in the cloud. Our range of kits provide users with context and focused project outcomes for these future-facing platforms, regardless of experience level.

Electric Paint 10ml/50ml

Bare Conductive’s Electric Paint is just like any other water-based paint, except that it conducts electricity! This means that you can paint wires or sensors directly onto almost any material around you, including paper, wood, plastic and glass.

The Electric Paint 10ml Tube is perfect for small scale projects where detail is important, or for painting, soldering or repairing small breaks. You will find it in some of our kits where creating a nice small circuit is necessary.

Nontoxic, solvent free and water soluble, Electric Paint 10ml Tubes are great for prototyping, and safe for makers of all ages. Once applied the paint dries quickly at room temperature, and can be removed with soap and water.

Want to make it more intelligent? Try Electric Paint alongside microcontrollers like the Touch Board, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, MaKey MaKey, or LilyPad.

Put this flexible, revolutionary little tube in your toolbox today.

5 Things you can do with our Electric Paint

  1. Stencil it
  2. Screen print it
  3. Paint a capacitive sensor
  4. Paint a taking poster
  5. Create liquid switches

Touch Board

The Touch Board gives you the ability to turn almost any material or surface into a sensor, and comes pre-programmed and ready to use.

Open the box, power up, and touch one of the electrodes to listen to the audio guide. It’s never been easier to start making an Arduino-based project.

The Touch Board has 12 electrodes that can be extended to create individual touch sensors using Electric Paint. Anything conductive can be attached to one of its 12 electrodes to make interactive and responsive interfaces. If you can do it with an Arduino, you can do it – and much more – with the Touch Board and some Electric Paint.

The Touch Board is equipped with an onboard MP3 player making each board capable of playing 12 of your favourite songs or sounds. It can also work as a MIDI synthesizer and even send MIDI messages to another device like an iPad or a laptop running Ableton Live.

Make custom instruments, interactive surfaces, or even light switches with this little device!

The Touch Board can be used just like an Arduino Leonardo and can be programmed using the Arduino IDE (1.5.6 or later), or used straight out of the box as it is!

Get your projects up and running instantly and build interaction into your world!
