HiPo is an open source 3.52-inch electronic paper display module the size of a business card. The magic of this e-paper display is that new images can be uploaded to it with just a phone app. No batteries are necessary for its operation. Image content can be uploaded either with our standalone NFC board, or with our STM32 companion board, which lets the user edit the code, giving access to other features like sensor integration and remotely controlled displays.
NFC is used to transfer text or images to the e-paper display, and derives the necessary power by that same NFC during transmission. This is possible because electronic ink technology can be displayed on a screen almost permanently, without an onboard battery. As a substitute for paper, e-paper can be used for repeatedly changing content with low energy consumption. HiPo can be used for a variety of applications, such as a badge, label or daily sticky note. Whether it’s a store price tag, company name tag, or hotel room status display, the applications are up to you.

We have worked with our producer company to ensure there will be no issues with production. They will still need a certain amount of extra time to print our logo and related certifications, all of which should be completed in a timely manner once the campaign is completed and ready for production.
