Project update 7 of 8
Hello Handful Fans, Friends, and Family—
Our Salem manufacturing partner is buzzing with activity as Handful Bras are being cut, assembled, sewn, and packaged for you. Thank you for being our Crowd Supply pretailers who are making this amazing changeover to Made in USA possible!
We wanted to let you know that on August 6th, Team Handful will drive to Salem and literally fill our vehicles with as much product as we can and drive it back up to our Beaverton warehouse. Shipments will begin on August 7th. If you live near us, we may be contacting you to set up a personal delivery.
Our new fabric came from Los Angeles, the dyed-to-match hardware could only be sourced in Paris, and our pads in this first production cycle will continue to come from our factory in China. The Tigard manufacturer of our pads is still refining improvements to the design, so while we are well within the 71% required to be deemed Made in USA, we wanted to give you a heads up.
We have phased out dyed-to-match pads and mesh bags to keep our costs down, so while Booya Black will have black pads, our new colors—Gettin’ Lucky Green and Freshly Squeezed Orange—will have beige pads. All mesh bags going forward will be a bling-y silver and will come attached to the bra in a small box. We can’t wait for you to get your merchandise!
Thank you for your patience and support as we keep chugging up the mountain, this little sports bra company that could…
Love,
Jennifer, Tina, Jody & Cary
