More and more power and control from USB-Power Delivery

Unfortunately, this event has been cancelled.

Demo (Attended)

The project is a portable power supply that utilizes USB-C Power Delivery PPS to negotiate voltage/current from a wall charger or power bank. The device is designed to fit inside your pocket, hence the name Pocket Power Delivery. The unit features a knob for most voltage and current adjustment with some buttons for selecting other modes. Applications are portable bench supply for field work, USB-C protocol scanner, CC/CV battery charger, and educational tool for college students. We provide PocketPD as an opensource project for both Firmware and Hardware.

An upgrade strip down version is called RotoPD, which allow voltage negotiation with your charger up to 30V at 200mV increment using the newer AVS (Adjustable Voltage Supply) mode from a USB-C charger. RotoPD communicate via I2C with your favorite micro-controller via headers or QWICC connectors. Library is provided in multiple platform, including Arduino.
