Eight panels of assembled soldering kits hang on the wall, five panels are clouds that represent various feelings and emotions and feature through-hole soldering, one panel is a heart with a snarky "You’re #1" on the front with a surface mount dual 555 timer circuit that creates a heartbeat blinking effect, one is a fox lying on a cloud with rainbow LEDs blinking in sequence via a 555 timer and decade counter circuit, and one is a Krampus with custom animations made by an ATTiny4 processor. They are all made to be powered by coin cell batteries yet ironically are instead powered by a USB adapter board and rechargeable lithium ion batteries for this demonstration. The installation represents a progression of electronics skills and explores how gaining skills can be personal, fun, colorful, and evoke feelings, all while the blinking lights draw you in like a campfire.
