Young innovator Zeke never gave up on his goal to talk to an astronaut on the International Space Station using amateur radio. Five years of self-taught engineering skills, and a bottomless reserve of patience and perseverance for troubleshooting led to a stellar achievement that was even a first for the ARISS organization (Amateur Radio on the International Space Station), which has been scheduling calls between astronauts and youth organizations since 1996.
On top of that feat, Zeke’s use of magnetometers and accelerometers for position sensing has never been used before in satellite tracking equipment. Come hear how he did it!
