Talk Track One
Rectangle2 is a side project I have been working on for the past couple of years. It is a small power management device with modular design. It has two configurable USB-C PD ports supporting up to 60W of power. There is a third USB-C port supporting connection to a host providing remote control. Additionally, there are two barrel jacks. One barrel jack is a power input supporting solar panels, and another barrel jack is a configurable power output. A small display with navigation buttons provides an interface to monitor the metrics and configure the device.
In this talk, I will walk you through the design iterations and challenges I encountered. From major issues - such as balancing modular design, cost, and usability - to smaller details, like selecting the right mounting screws, I’ll share key lessons learned along the way.
