Workshop: Solder
Learn how to turn the $4 Raspberry Pi Pico board into an open-source FPGA loader.
In this workshop, we will take the same hardware as last year and teach it some new tricks. We will utilize new features in openFPGALoader to load a soft RISC-V core into the MAX10 and write the firmware image directly into User Flash Memory (UFM). Then you can modify the code and update it with openFPGALoader. If you still have your hardware from last year, you are welcome to participate without registering, space permitting.
Each workshop participant will be provided a kit that includes:
In the workshop we will:
The adapter PCBs use large-pitch, through-hole connectors easy for beginners with little or no soldering experience.
Participants should bring their own computer, preferably one with Linux or some Unix environment, to program the adapter.
