In this workshop, you will get the opportunity to design and manufacture your own design on an ASIC!
You will learn the basics of digital logic and how semiconductors are designed and made. We’ll walk through the entire process, starting at the very bottom—drawing a transistor that could be used in a logic gate—and working our way through how to use an online digital design tool to build and simulate a simple design, all the way through the steps required to submit designs for manufacture on the open-source IHP PDK. Participants will have the option to have their designs manufactured on the next shuttle as part of the Tiny Tapeout project.
Ideally, bring a mouse in addition to a laptop as it makes use of the GUI tools that much more enjoyable.
