In this session, I’ll set up some interactive hardware configurations which demonstrate the various use cases for Quadrant:
- Computer music: PureData, VCV Rack, and other applications controlled via the USB interface
- Analog synthesizers: A modular (e.g. Eurorack) synthesizer controlled by Quadrant through the control voltage (CV) interface
- MIDI output: a hardware synth whose notes are triggered by Quadrant beam crossings (like a laser harp) from its MIDI output jack
- Daisy-chaining: By connecting the output of one board to the input of another, we can chain many Quadrants together to control a high-dimensional parameter space
Visitors are welcome to try their hand (pun intended) at making music with Quadrant.
