Come hang out and relive the nostalgia of the games you grew up with in the Altera Retro Arcade Lounge.
Experience an entertaining demonstration of the power of FPGAs to emulate obsolete hardware. We will have the Cyclone V based DE-10 Nano from Terasic running MisterFPGA pretending to be a 486 processor. It is loaded up with FreeDOS and all your favorite shareware games. Of course it runs Doom. You’ll be having so much fun playing, you won’t even realize that you are demonstrating principals critical to keeping infrastructure operational for decades.
We will also be hosting a couple other retro gaming installations from David Turnbull and Nathan Jones to round out the experience. Stop by for a little break to unwind from all the excitement!
Made possible with generous support from Altera.
