Call for Proposals

Our talk and workshop schedule is full. We are still accepting proposals for demo tables and installations. If you want to participate in one of our skill sharing sessions, please email teardown@crowdsupply.com for more information.

Teardown is a great opportunity to spread your ideas, show off your work, solicit feedback, enrich the hardware community, and foster collaborations. Previous events have featured amazing talks and workshops on a wide range of hardware topics — FPGAs, DIY AI, KiCad, firmware, BOMs, covert blinkenlights, the DMCA, security, RISC-V, prototyping, and so much more. Installations and demonstrations have included circuit sculptures, modular synths, DIY satellite receivers, retro gaming computers, robotic arms, and electronic jewelry.

There are four general session formats:

Please tell us about your idea below. All participants will receive a complimentary pass. If you purchase a ticket and your submission is accepted, you will have the option of having your ticket refunded or donated.

Pseudonyms are welcome.

If your session has multiple presenters, please list their email address(es) in the About you section below.

Please provide a short description (less than 250 characters) of your proposed session. This description, along with the title of your session, will promote your session to attendees on the schedule and in other places.

Provide a more detailed description (at least 500 characters) of your proposed session, as well as a short bio. This information will be published on your event page.

Please provide some background about yourself and any other presenters, including any related project or speaking experience. This information will not be published.

Please attach any photos, images, or documentation associated with your session.

Please provide additional information, including links, to where we can find out more about you or your project. Social media profiles, project repositories, demo videos, etc. are all helpful. This will help us evaluate your proposed session and provide detail to possible attendees.

Optionally describe any scheduling constraints for your event: e.g. if you will only be attending the conference on specific days.

Optionally describe any equipment or facility requirements for your session: network access, special lighting conditions, speakers, etc. This information will not be published.
