Haasoscope Pro 2 GHz Scope / KiCad Routing Tools

Demo (Attended)
Location

TBD

The Haasoscope Pro is an open-everything high-bandwidth (2 GHz!) oscilloscope, released in 2025. The creator, Dr. Andy Haas, will be demonstrating the scope in action, showing how to use the included python software to trigger and acquire waveforms, visualize signals, and measure their properties.

He also recently developed an auto-router for KiCad and will show how to use the plugin to route KiCad boards. While simple to use, it is also very powerful and full of advanced features such as differential pairs, optimized pin swapping (with automatic schematic update), gnd via placement, length/time matching, AI-driven power net and target impedance trace width analysis, gnd/pwr planes, etc.

Dr. Andy Haas is a professor of physics at New York University. He is a member of the ATLAS experiment at CERN and helped discover the Higgs boson in 2012. Electronics is his passion, especially for high-speed signals and data acquisition, and believes in transferring the technologies and techniques developed for research into the open-source community.

Made possible with generous support from Altera.
