Digital Mirror is an interactive digital art installation that uses a 3D scan of the environment as source data for real-time 3D animation. A depth camera creates points in 3D space from the environment of the installation. The positions of those points in space are used as the basis for geometries and animations in a real-time 3D render. The result is an interactive mirror-like experience. 3D geometries might rise like smoke off the silhouettes of viewers, or ripple like water through the virtual space.
