Synthia - Light Piano
Synthia is a multi-player light up keyboard/piano and sound visualizer using LEDs in a 3’ tall infinity mirror crystal placed in the center of a table. It has a pair of light up keyboards that react to touch. The main crystal display reacts to the notes and instruments used.
Built with custom STM32 touch capacitive keyboards, tons of laser cut acrylic, a pair of Teensys, and a Raspberry Pi.
Synthia is designed and built by Ben Hencke, a lifelong tinkerer and creator of Pixelblaze, which was a Crowd Supply Project. He’s been tinkering with Synthia for over 10 years now, and it’s been through several iterations.
