The Wizard

The Wizard is a new art piece that uses high speed rotation, fine control of light, and zeotropic animation to create a mesmerizing pair of wizard eyes with elements that all move independently, creating a magical effect. Built with ESP-NOW, APA102 LEDs and ODrive Micro driven brushless motors. Inspired by Katamary Damacy, the wizard was designed as part of a larger installation for a local Burning Man regional. It was designed in collaboration with Daniel Young, Genevieve Hildebrand-Chupp, and Phil Coutrakon
