Not selling enough to pay your bills? I can relate! It’s a hard and emotional decision, but ultimately, when your current course isn’t working, you just have to make a change. In this informal fireside chat, I’ll talk about all the logistics and considerations that went into a four month long effort to shut my business down gracefully (with an employee and a commercial space lease), sell as much inventory as possible, and not leave the users of my tools high and dry. Half the time will be an ask-me-anything - I had the benefit of being able to talk to friends that had already gone through this process, so I’m happy to pass along my experience, dirty details, and the wild emotional ride of experiencing the most success my business ever had mid-swan-dive.
