Update 2 of 2

Teardown 2026 is nearly here!

by Helen Leigh

Hello,

We are one month away from Teardown 2026! We are excited to see you all. Here is some key information that will help you plan for the event.

Schedule

The talk and workshop schedule for Teardown 2026 is live.

As usual, workshop bookings will go live two weeks before the event. When that happens we will send out another update. In an effort to make it fairer we will only allow each attendee to book one workshop spot to start with.

Our skill sharing sessions do not require booking, nor do you have to be there for the whole time. These sessions are intended to be part AMA, part BOF, and fully open to participation. Have something interesting to share or a project you’re stuck on? Bring it along!

Dates and timings

Teardown 2026 will open at 9am on Friday 24th July. Our talks will end (and our closing celebrations will begin!) at 3.30pm on Sunday 26th July. There will also be related activities taking place on Thursday 23rd July.

From 2pm to 6pm on Thursday 23rd July we will be partially open for pre-registration and general hanging out: find folks in the DreamTent on the Jupiter Original side of the venue.

Thursday also brings self-guided trips to some interesting local tech spaces, plus a Hardware Happy Hour in the evening.

After the scheduled content ends on Sunday 26th July the festivities will continue at the after party on the garden terrace at Jupiter. There will also be a live show with sound hackers, electronic experimenters and maker musicians.

Where to stay

Our hotel block at Jupiter Original has now sold out. The Jupiter NEXT has still has rooms or there are several other options within walking distance.

Set your food preferences

We will provide: breakfast and lunch on Friday; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday; plus breakfast and lunch on Sunday. We order delicious food from local providers. There will be plant-based, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options at each meal. If you are vegetarian, vegan, require gluten-free food, or have any other food requirements, please help us estimate numbers by going to editing your preferences under your Teardown ticket on your user account page.
