Project update 1 of 1
Hi everyone!
I wanted to share some exciting updates about YULC during this pre-launch phase.
The new revision is complete and currently in production, and I can’t wait to show it to you soon! I’ve fixed some small issues and added some new features.
I’ve added a dedicated connector for the fan to provide active cooling for the board, making it super stable. The fan will be housed in a case that I’m designing, which is 3D printable, and it will keep the step-down integrated circuit and the inductor cool, ensuring great temperatures even with lots of output power.
I’ve also increased the output terminals to split the 20A across 2 terminals (2 for + and 2 for -) for each of the two channels. With separate terminals, it will be much easier to do power injection for large amounts of current.
Plus, the three mounting holes now have a standard size for M2 screws.
This is the 3D render:
In the project repo, you can find both the complete dimensions of the board and the STEP file for YULC. This way, it will be much easier to build something custom around it.
Stay tuned, and feel free to reach out with any questions or feedback.
See you soon!
