Manufacturing News

by ANAVI Technology

Our crowdfunding campaign ends soon and we have good news to share! A large batch of almost fully assembled, gold-plated, ANAVI Gardening uHAT printed circuit boards (PCBs) is ready.

To reduce the risks of the global chip shortage, even before the launch of the crowdfunding campaign, we sourced the most critical components, such as the Microchip MCP3002. This 10-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) is used to read data from the capacitive soil moisture sensors.

The next step is flashing and soldering an EEPROM with product details and a device tree binary overlay for ANAVI Gardening uHAT. We will also need to source some additional peripheral components for the kits depending on the exact number of orders. After that, we will proceed with testing and packaging. In the meantime, the Crowd Supply team will help us with the paperwork needed to ship all the kits to their warehouse.

Delivering after a successful crowdfunding campaign requires a lot of time and effort. It is a long way, but so far we are moving along at a good pace. Thank you again for supporting ANAVI Gardening uHAT!

Thanks, Leon
