Project update 6 of 10

Manufacturing Plans and More!

by Javier C

Hello everyone!

One more week, and we’re getting close to the finish line! My deepest gratitude to all the new project backers.

Golden Boards Arrived

This week we received a batch of five "golden boards". "Golden" means that the design is now frozen and, if no problems are found in assembly, we will use the exact same production files and components for the "mass production" run after the campaign closes.

These boards incorporate small improvements to simplify assembly and repairability. But probably the coolest touch is the updated Open Source Hardware logo which now looks very luxurious with the Electroless Nickel Immersion Gold (ENIG) surface finish!

That wraps up today’s update. Please don’t hesitate to reach out via the Ask a Question section on our campaign page. Comments, questions, suggestions, or rants are all welcome!

Stay musical,
Javier
