A big thank you to all of our supporters. Our manufacturing team has just confirmed that all PocketPD pallets have arrived at Mouser, and the Mouser team is already shipping out pre‑order units as you read this.
You might be wondering: if we began manufacturing before receiving the crowdfunding funds, how did we still end up missing our promised deadline?
The truth is that several factors came together, including our own inexperience with larger‑scale production. One of the biggest issues was an unclear specification for distinguishing the housings between the two SKUs. This led to both SKUs being produced with the same case. When one SKU failed inspection, we had to halt all shipments, and the manufacturer needed to rework more than 600 units.
And, just as that was being resolved, Lunar New Year arrived, pushing everything back by another three weeks. Despite the setbacks, our manufacturer, Elecrow, moved quickly to correct the issue, and both units have now turned out great. Still, we owe you a sincere apology for not keeping you better updated throughout this process. You deserved clearer communication, and we’re committed to doing better going forward.
