I currently design embedded systems. In the past I designed ASICs for computer graphics systems and computer servers as well as ASIC verification software. I have an EE/CS degree and do circuit design, PCB layout, firmware, and application software development. I design for a variety of marketplaces, as a design consultant and for my own products and projects, but have specialized in LED lighting, sculptural, and interactive art for many years working with artists like Jen Lewin (<www.jenlewinstudio.com>). I participate in the maker movement and currently serve on the board of directors for our local makerspace, Solid State Depot. I left the traditional corporate world over a decade ago and work and live in the foothills above Boulder.
