Launch Announcement!

by James B

The Gameduino 3X Dazzler is an Arduino-compatible shield that outputs HD picture and sound to any HDMI display or TV.

The Dazzler is a new addition to the Gameduino family; it’s the first one with HDMI output, and is built to let you make great looking graphics straight out of the box.

Everything in the campaign video was taken directly from the Dazzler’s 720p video feed - what you see is what you get!

Because of the onboard GPU plus FPGA combination, it already has some really useful capabilities, and the fully open-source design is a great starting point for hardware hacking.

I'm dedicated to building useful hardware and software, particularly where embedded systems meet graphics and imaging. Probably my best known public projects are the Gameduino series of game accessory boards, and the J1 CPU. I have benefited immensely from Open Source hardware and software, so I try to open source as much as I can.
