Campaign Launch

The GnuBee Personal Cloud 2 (GB-PC2) is a libre network-attached storage device that accommodates up to six 3.5" drives and runs 100% blob-free, FLOSS software and firmware. The crowdfunding campaign is now live and includes a limited number of early bird units at a special price.

Check out the main campaign page for details.

Here’s a bit of background on the GB-PC2. The project started even before its predecessor, the GnuBee Personal Cloud 1 (GB-PC1), had completed its crowdfunding campaign earlier this year. The GB-PC1 is the same basic design (chipset, rough form factor, etc.) but designed only for 2.5" drives typically found in laptops. This means that the GB-PC1 is smaller and requires less power than the GB-PC2, but the drives are more expensive and have less capacity. As soon as the GB-PC1 launched, we started getting requests for a 3.5" version. Hence the GB-PC2.

Thanks for all your support and please spread the word! Again, please check out the main campaign page for more details.
