Out and About - New Videos Released, Firmware Completed

by Peter Khouly

Hey guys,
We’re so happy to share with you the first update on Pico Pal, and we also wanted to thank you so much for being with us on this journey!

In the Wild

We want to start by sharing two exceptional YouTube videos of Pico Pal. We are so grateful to Macho Nacho Productions and Jake Simmons for doing these and ensuring you’ll get a great visual look and feel for Pico Pal before pre-ordering.

Your Feedback

As we’ve stated before, since we’re still in development, we are very open to any new ideas. We’ve already had lots of feedback in the comments on the videos. This is why now we’d love to hear your thoughts through our feedback form. We’ve even decided to delay the campaign launch to ensure we can support cartridge dumping, which was a greatly desired feature from the community.

Development Status

Thankfully, the firmware has been extremely stable with no observed crashes or issues. This includes GBC emulation, MP3/FLAC/WAV listening, IMU G-meter, and the sunrise alarm clock with a sleep sound player. We’d like to point out that any emulation issues seen in the Macho Nacho Productions video have been fixed and all tested games run at full speed. Now that we’re satisfied with the firmware, we can start working on cartridge dumping!

The best way to stay up-to-date is by following Pico Pal on Instagram. Then, once we launch the campaign, we will set up a Discord server. You can also subscribe to email updates using the button below.
