Hello Backers!

First, we’re blown away by the support and encouragement we’ve received from all corners. We’re nearly two-thirds of the way to funding the Novena Open Source Laptop and still have over a month of the campaign left. The response to the Novena, not just in campaign pledges, but also in all the conversations taking place in e-mail, forum threads, and in person, has shown us that there are a growing number of people out there who truly care about the kind of freedom open hardware affords; the freedom to explore, modify, build upon, and generally hack to your heart’s content.

Second, sorry for the radio silence! We promise to keep you updated at least once a week from here on out. We’ll hopefully be announcing some stretch goals and showcasing some of the awesome technical features of the Novena platform. More on all that soon!

In the meantime, please know that your support means the world to us and we appreciate everyone’s efforts to spread the word! Don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions or comments.
