We’re excited to announce that the Pixlpal campaign is now live on Crowd Supply.

Pixlpal, a companion built around an 128×64 RGB LED matrix and the ESP32-S3 SoC, gives you useful information at a glance—time, calendar events, news, market data, sports updates, and more—helping you stay informed and focused without constantly reaching for your phone. Designed with a local-first philosophy, Pixlpal runs its applications directly on the device, using Wi-Fi only when needed for data retrieval or streaming. This means better privacy, fewer dependencies on cloud services, and a device that continues to work and evolve over time.

For developers, makers, and educators, Pixlpal is also a hands-on learning and experimentation platform. Both the hardware and firmware are fully open source, with firmware built on ESP-IDF and Arduino support. You can explore how real products handle graphics, networking, audio, USB, BLE, and multitasking—and build or customize your own apps along the way.

Like all Crowd Supply projects, Pixlpal can only move forward with the support of the community.
