We just launched our first mini campaign: An updated version (V2) of our most popular processor module, the RCORE RK3588, is now available for preorder on Crowd Supply!

It is our most powerful octa-core processor module option for MNT Reform and Pocket Reform (as well as the upcoming MNT Reform Next to date. If you desire the maximum in CPU and GPU performance as well as RAM (16/32 GB), this is your module. The CPU features eight cores: 4x fast Cortex-A76 and 4x efficient Cortex-A55. The integrated ARM Mali G610 MP4 GPU delivers OpenGL/ES 3.3 with the open source Panthor driver, with Vulkan support.

RCORE’s Rockchip RK3588 processor has solid Linux and Mesa mainline support thanks to the work of Collabora. Full Debian support is available in the MNT Reform system image.

As for Pocket Reform, RK3588 doesn’t include any Wi-Fi out of the box. We recommend selecting the optional Intel AX210 Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module as well as the Molex Antenna for Wi-Fi 6E and BT 5.3 connectivity (great Linux support). For this purpose, we developed a custom Wi-Fi/BT carrier board that adds a third M.2 E-key slot to your Pocket Reform.

This campaign has the goal of $1 to make the RCORE with RK3588 upgrade available to anyone on Crowd Supply. We’re looking forward to the campaign and will tell you more about it during the coming weeks!
