Pipo was born from the belief that better, more playful, and easier to use interfaces should be more accessible — and that bridging the physical world with computers in a more advanced fashion can be creative, collaborative and educational. Thank you to everyone who has believed in the project so far! We’re not quite there yet—but with one final push, we can still make it happen!
There are only seven days left to fund Pipo and help it become a reality available to all. This is also your last chance to buy one at the campaign price. ;) If you can’t contribute or don’t need a Pipo, you can still help us hugely by sharing the campaign with your friends and colleagues! Every bit of support counts.
While Pipo is pretty new, a few beta testers have had the opportunity to use it.
Taikabox from Finland Pipo actively for dance creations during their "Dance hacks" where they explore the intersection of dance with media and technology. Here is what John from Taikabox said about Pipo Motion:
"They are the most stable and practical movement sensors I have used in 15 years of plugging dancers into Isadora"
As well, Belgium based artist "Nnnnmerci" used Pipo Analog to create a participative concert experience with his public. He designed and built tangible interfaces the public can play with. As a musician and creative mind he could build these without prior electronics or code knowledge, and focus on the design and the music while learning the basics.
Finally, I want to share with you a compilation of some content I have posted that shows a few of the things Pipo can do:
Thanks again for being there, and don’t forget to spread the word to make this campaign a success!
Stay curious & creative!
