Shipment Information

Hiya!

Just before 2018 ended (on Dec. 28), I successfully shipped out 448 μArts, which is more than 2/3 of all backer units. Though I guess most of you already know this by now, as Crowd Supply sent out a shipping notification to those with a fulfilled order. As for the remaining 1/3 of units, I should be receiving them from my assembler within about a week (give or take), at which point I can start fulfilling all the rest of the orders. Here are some useful things to know until then.

First of all, in case your unit has shipped in December, please be patient with your delivery. Carriers are overloaded in this season, as they are often still delivering the leftover packages from before Christmas they couldn’t handle due to the holiday rush. If you’ve chosen the Registered Shipment option during your order though, you have already received your personal tracking code from Crowd Supply (it was in your shipping notification e-mail), which you can use to look at the status of your delivery, for example here. If you have ordered multiple SKUs (same or different kind), you will probably be receiving them as separate packages, with very few exceptions. So don’t panic if you only get one at first, wait another week and your other package(s) should arrive too.

Nevertheless, especially if you are located geographically near to me (e.g. in Europe), I guess some of you should start receiving your μArts this week. Please know that I am very much interested in your feedback after delivery! Once in your hands, let me know if you got what you were expecting. Was the packaging adequate? Did you expect anything different? Maybe disappointed by something? Are the supplied accessories alright? Any feedback I get, positive or not, I can use in future campaigns to improve. So please, don’t hesitate to tell me anything.

Now, in case your unit hasn’t been shipped yet (you’ll know by the fact that you didn’t get a mail about it): If you haven’t done so already, please use the remaining time to check your address on your order and update it if it is out-of-date or erroneous. Also, even though I’ve already told you this on the main campaign page and also in the updates, let me remind you, that I can only assist with delivery questions if you’ve chosen the Registered Shipping option during your order. Only in this case will a tracking number exist. So if you’d like to have a tracking number but have chosen the wrong option for that, you can still change your order by writing to us.

Last but not least, I would like to address those of you who have not yet ordered but are contemplating. Once I fulfill the rest of the orders (in approximately 2 weeks), shipment and processing will be taken over by Crowd Supply who ship from the United States. They’ll only be receiving their stock after everyone else. Second, shipment from Crowd Supply will likely mean longer delivery times to European destinations. Third, packages to Europe might incur further customs fees if shipped from Crowd Supply, as they are based in the US. So if you live in Europe, you are probably better off if you order in the next 2 weeks and not later, because orders placed now are going to be the last ones shipped from here.

There, I think I’ve covered everything. I hope that you’ll all like your μArts, thankfully I must say I am unaware of any issues that might disappoint. If you’ve got your unit, don’t hesitate to tell me what you think or if there’s anything you want improved. This was my first crowdfunding campaign, and most probably not my last, so if there is anything I can address or correct in the future, I want to do something about it. Of course I’ve got my own list too, but that is not the same as you telling me :)

I’ll write again when I’ve fulfilled all orders later this month. See you soon!
