Frequency Required

Frequency Selection

LoDev works with both 868 and 915 MHz LoRa bands, but to get the best performance and reception, a good antenna for the particular band in use is required. There are multi-band antennas on the market, but none of the ones we’ve tested performed to my satisfaction.

Unfortunately, when I created the campaign I didn’t setup separate SKUs for the different frequencies and it was an error on my part. To ensure you receive the correct antenna for your application you can choose to do one of two things:

  1. Do nothing. If don't respond to this post over the next few days Crowd Supply will ship your LoDev S76S unit(s) with antennas appropriate for the region we're shipping to. You can see which antenna has been chosen for your by viewing the order in your Crowd Supply account.
  2. Let us know, again, in the next few days, what frequency antennas you wish to receive and we'll make a note on your order.

Production Update (Slight Delay)

Due to a number of small delays, it looks like we’re going to miss our initial shipping goal by a bit, but firmware flashing is almost complete! This means that we should be able to get the units over to Crowd Supply for final fulfillment this week, to be shipped to backers in the following week or two.

Source Files Released

Ronoth is dedicated to providing great IoT solutions and we’re invested in the open-source community. LoDev and LoStik are open-source hardware projects that provide full source code and hardware design files.

With the close of the LoDev campaign, we’ve released the Eagle schematic and board files on Github. https://github.com/ronoth/lodev

Keep and eye on this space because we’ll be adding lots of additional code samples and how-to videos similar to our previous update.
