Our Campaign Is Now Live!

We are very excited to announce that the campaign for PocketMage PDA is now live! Thank you so much for following the progression of the PocketMage PDA project. The journey from simple prototype to fully fledged production units was a long one, and today we’ve reached another major milestone.
Quick Refresher on the Hardware
PocketMage is a tool built first and foremost for focus and productivity. The hardware features a large ePaper main panel to facilitate easy-on-the-eyes reading and editing, while a smaller secondary OLED display allows for interactions that need to be quick and seamless.
PocketMage’s custom (and Open-Source!) operating system is filled to the brim with whimsy, fun, and utility. There is a Markdown text editor, a Linux-style terminal, a dedicated scripting code environment (shown above!), a basic productivity suite (calendar, tasks, etc.), and more! Apart from the built-in apps, PocketMage OS has deep support for 3rd party apps, and there are already a few available on the PocketMage Website!
Improvements
The PocketMage Beta, which allowed 100 devs and testers to try a prototype version of PocketMage, helped us to make extensive improvements on the hardware and software. Our beta testers provided us with extensive feedback on every aspect of the device, driving hardware development, bug fixes, and feature updates over the past few months.
Through feedback from testers, the power management circuitry has been improved to allow for even longer battery life. Also, many annoying bugs and errors have been fixed on the software side, providing the smoothest software experience PocketMage has ever seen. Finally, feature updates have been pushed to add functionality that beta testers found that they wanted.

Backer Options
We have decided to offer two different pledge tiers for our backers. You can choose to opt to recieve your PocketMage in kit form (assembly required) or fully-assembled. You can also choose from the basic Parchment color or the exclusive Royal Purple color.
This is just the beginning of the PocketMage PDA campaign, so stay tuned for weekly updates, software deep dives, and hardware insights while the campaign runs!
