View Purchasing OptionsProject update 7 of 10
I have 100 units ready to ship, but just when I tried printing your user manuals, invoices and shipping labels my toner gave up. On top, the replacement cartridge was defective - and it was a big mess. That’s why I don’t like laser-printers:
After lots of calibration and many many tries, the LitePlacer now performs very well even placing all the IC’s and I can easily build four panels (40 devices) in one evening. So all open orders will ship within the next two weeks. The tests and drying of the labels are the remaining bottlenecks for now.
For all regular orders starting from now there will be an additional delay, as I’m still waiting for more enclosures to arrive.
This is why the estimated shipping date for all new orders has changed to 1st July.
If you have moved or would like to change your shipping address for any reason, you can update it online through your account on Crowd Supply.
Stay tuned for another production update with more details and a pick and place video.
As you will see, the LitePlacer has not speed up placement in comparison to my tweezers used for the early-birds, but it allows me do other stuff while it’s doing it’s job.
