Project update 7 of 8
Thanks to your support for the ANAVI Info uHAT, our crowdfunding campaign ended successfully, the project is fully funded and all stretch goals were met. Your help and support really mean a lot, thank you!
A little bit of inside information about the crowdfunding campaign. The backers are from all around the world: the US, the UK, the Czech Republic, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, and New Zealand. This another small but excellent example of how open source hardware is truly international.
Last week we received the first batch of assembled ANAVI Info uHATs, this week we flashed and manually soldered the EEPROM which connects to the second I2C bus on the Raspberry Pi and contains software data describing the hardware. As you can see in the photo, now we have a big cardboard box full of boards which we need to carefully test with Raspberry Pi OS.
We started the manufacturing ahead of schedule because, in the crazy times we are living in right now, unexpected challenges may always show up. We will keep you updated, but as promised the estimated shipping date remains Oct 28, 2022. In the meantime, although the crowdfunding period is over, you can still place new orders. Tell your friends!
Best regards, Leon
