Wow, the launch of the crowdfunding campaign was a blast! ANAVI Macro Pad 8 was fully funded and all stretch goals were met in the first 48 hours!
Thank you very much for bringing life in this entirely open source project! Thanks to your support we will manufacture all printed circuit boards for ANAVI Macro Pad 8 in a small local factory in my hometown Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
As part of the covered stretch goals, both the maker and the developer kit will include super cool 32 transparent Emoji stickers. You can put them on any side of the translucent keycaps included in the developer kit. It is entirely up to you to decide whether to use the Emoji stickers and on which key to put them. This way each ANAVI Macro Pad 8 may has its unique look!
These transparent Emoji stickers feature icons from Font Awesome, available under CC BY 4.0 License in GitHub. They will be printed on a glossy transparent foil and laser-cut in rectangular or square shapes, depending on the icon dimensions and proportions. After several attempts, we have already done successful prototypes using the services of a trusted local printing company again in my hometown Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
Furthermore, each kit will also include stickers of ANAVI Technology and KiCad, the free and open source CAD software used for designing ANAVI Macro Pad 8. Last but not least, we will publish various video tutorials to ensure easy getting started.
