We received all of the boards for ANAVI Macro Pad 8 from the local factory in my hometown Plovdiv, Bulgaria, EU. We flashed the open source QMK firmware with the default keymap and tested all developer kits. The next steps are to package them with bubble wrap in our recyclable cardboard boxes, then to prepare the mini OLED displays and to process the maker kits. Read the full update.

Hot-swappable mechanical keyboards allow you to replace switches and LEDs on-the-go without soldering or even powering off the keyboard. None of the ANAVI Macro Pad 8 kits support hot-swapping of switches out of the box, however this can be achieved with an upgrade of the maker kit. The crowdfunding campaign for ANAVI Macro Pad 8 has ended successfully. All stretch goals were met. More than 100 kits were ordered by 86 backers from 19 countries all around the world.
