Introducing Macro Pad 2, Our Tiny 2% Mechanical Keyboard

by ANAVI Technology

Meet Macro Pad 8’s little brother: ANAVI Macro Pad 2! It is a tiny 2% mechanical keyboard.

Having eight programmable keys is great, but sometimes a couple of keys are more practical. Whether you want to speed up copying and pasting, simplify common video conferencing functions, "mute" cameras and microphones, or give pride-of-place to your favorite emojis, the ANAVI Macro Pad 2 lets you do it in style. There are multiple pre-made keymaps available for working with popular software like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Jitsi, Skype, and Git.

Just like Macro Pad 8, Macro Pad 2 features Gateron red mechanical switches and 3 mm red LEDs for backlighting. Just like its bigger brother, Macro Pad 2 is designed with the same free and open source tools and is certified by the Open Source Hardware Association (OSHWA).

From an engineering point of view, the unique feature of ANAVI Macro Pad 2 is that it squeezes all of its functionality out of a Microchip ATTiny85 thanks to a bunch of awesome open source projects: micronucleus bootloader, V-USB and QMK (Quantum Mechanical Keyboard) firmware.

ANAVI Macro Pad 2 is a stable product, we already have bought some ATTiny85 chips in stock and this new crowdfunding campaign will help us proceed with low-volume manufacturing. We hope you’ll jump in again and help us bring this new tiny keyboard to life!

Thanks, Leon
