After CE testing and a minor re-spin of the Brain PCBs, we have all the orders placed for manufacturing and assembly. The biggest holdup right now is actually assembly of the Probes, which are still 35 days out to complete manufacturing. Read the full update.
We received the latest revision of both the Brain and THP Probe PCBs. While the Brain update was purely about bugfixes, the Probes received a considerable facelift, including a new form factor, a new case, and a rack screw hole for mounting. Both the Openviro Axe Brain and the THP Probes are now in their final form factors, and one step closer to a final version. Read the full update.
Openviro has undergone a significant change this week with an upgrade to its enclosure. The initial 3D-printed IO shields, while excellent for prototyping, were not robust enough for long-term use in a rack-mounted environment. To address this, we redesigned the panels and had them laser cut out of 5052 1.6 mm aluminum. The panels now offer a far better fit and finish, and have the added rigidity needed from a rackmount device. Keep reading for more details, a couple photographs, and a video! Read the full update.
