Inkplate 6PLUS has just recently been successfully funded - a big thank you goes out to everyone who supported the project (either by backing, sharing or talking about it). Thanks to you, we have exceeded our goal, and we look forward to delivering another nice Inkplate board to you as soon as possible.
It’s no secret that electronics parts have been in great shortage for a while now. This hits all types of business in this niche, both small and large ones. Because of that, since right after the campaign ended we’ve been focusing on buying the electronic parts needed for the boards. As we anticipated that the shortage was going to get worse, we already have some in stock, but not all. We are going to use all our capabilities and experience to avoid any delays, but as mentioned in the Risks & Challenges section of the campaign, there is still a significant risk there, considering the chaos with supply chains right now. The good news is that we have secured the e-paper panel supplier stock, so there should be no issues in that area.
Arduino library for Inkplate 6PLUS has already published with release 3.0.0. (bug fixed at 3.0.1.) and it is ready to be used. It implements the standard functions of the family of Inkplate boards, all contained in various examples to demonstrate the simple usage. Additional examples have been specifically added for the Inkplate 6PLUS to explain how to use the touchscreen and the front-lighting:

The open source files are in the final checking stage now and will be published soon enough in Inkplate 6PLUS Hardware repository for Schematics, BOM and gerber files, also for the 3D printable enclosure.
