In this update, we give you a quick video tour of EEZ Studio, the visual toolkit we developed and used for the EEZ H24005 to create the TFT touch-screen display GUI. Even from the focused perspective of the GUI, you’ll get an idea of how the EEZ H24005 differs from similar projects, commercial or not.
As you can see from the video below, each display page can be edited with just a few mouse clicks to select and combine various widgets, actions, screen colors, fonts, images, etc. EEZ Studio takes care of unifying the styles of all pages and the transitions between pages. EEZ Studio generates code that can be directly compiled together with the rest of the firmware, which can then be executed in our software simulator (as shown in an example) or uploaded to a physical devices Arduino Due.
EEZ Studio can also be used to communicate with EEZ H24005 via SCPI commands, which can be scripted for automated testing and the like.
Please note that EEZ Studio and its source code is not publicly available yet not because we’d like to hide something but for the simple reason that currently we don’t have enough resources to document all its features and to answer all possible support inquires. We will release the full source code under an open license as soon as we get a chance, but certainly before the the first EEZ H24005 units ship.
