First 40 Production Units

Hello, backers!

We are excited to announce that the first 40 USB Armory units, implementing our final design, just arrived and work perfectly.

They will be sent to the first lucky backers as soon as the campaign goal is reached.

The finalized design has been named Mark I and, as you can see, it is an incremental upgrade over our alpha and beta prototypes.

In reality, not much tweaking was required from the alpha design. The biggest changes are:

Additionally, we tested the standalone USB host mode using a Mimo UM-720F USB monitor. As you can see, the monitor, along with a powered hub, keyboard, mouse and WiFi adapter, are perfectly functioning with the USB Armory host mode described in the first update.

We are still waiting for the custom USB host adapter PCBs, which is why the setup is implemented with a rather crude breadboard connection.

We thank you for your continued interest in the USB Armory and wish you happy winter holidays!

Cheers,
Andrea Barisani
