Anti-cogging on the Fortiq Modules

by Jon B

Users running the Fortiq will be able to take advantage of IQ’s Anti-cogging algorithm. Cogging torque ripple causes motor vibration which in turn makes machines noisy and imprecise. By reducing cogging torque by 90% with Anti-cogging, IQ makes machines much smoother and quieter without compromising performance, as you can see in the video below. Turn up your volume to hear the difference between the Fortiq operating with and without Anti-cogging.

For devices like 3D printers and CNC machines, motor vibration results in noisy operation and lower quality manufacturing. Turning on the Fortiq’s Anti-cogging reduces these issues!
