Lime Suite 20.07.1 Released

by Andrew Back

We have released a new version of the Lime Suite software, which provides drivers, utilities, and APIs for the LimeSDR family of boards. The v20.07.1 release includes a number of improvements to the Lime Suite library, with perhaps the most notable being a configuration change for LimeSDR Mini boards that addresses issues including intermittent failures when running LimeQuickTest. As such, all LimeSDR Mini owners are strongly encouraged to upgrade.

Other improvements include various fixes to the LimeSuiteGUI utility and the ability for applications that use SoapySDR to get actual supported sample rates instead of static limits. The update also includes a fix for GNU Octave support that relates to warnings when loading the Lime Suite library.

This release is also the first to include support for the LimeRFE RF front-end.

Now that Ubuntu 20.04 has been out for a little while, we have started packaging builds for it and stopped packaging for 16.04. Hence Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 users can now get the latest Lime Suite packages via the SDR Drivers PPA. Binary builds of the Lime Suite DLL, together with LimeQuickTest and LimeSuiteGUI, are available via GitHub.

At the time of writing, however, please note that the Pothosware Windows installer has not been updated, and other Windows applications will similarly need to be updated. Likewise, it may take a little while before packages are updated in other Linux distributions.
