Revised Shipping Estimate

by Andrew Back

As mentioned in our last update, the COVID-19 pandemic has led to additional delays, due to our supply chain and standard operations being severely affected. We have since been working with component suppliers and our assembly house in order to arrive at a new realistic delivery date.

We are pleased to report that we now have firm delivery dates for the long-lead parts and expect to have them all at our assembly house by the end of next month. The assembly of LimeRFE will require manual placement and solder for some of the parts, due to their size and footprint. This results in longer time lines, due to the reduced operation of the factory and the build up of backlog for such work during the pandemic. As a result, assembly is envisaged to take about six weeks, which pushes delivery out to the third week in August. We expect to start shipping before then, however, since we plan to supply units in batches, as they come off the assembly line and complete production testing.

We’ll provide further updates during this period and will do everything we can to deliver your orders as quickly as possible during these very challenging times. Once again, thank you for your patience and we hope you will find the wait worthwhile when you receive your LimeRFE.
