Alpha Testing Program and Extended Campaign Pricing

First, thanks to everyone who has supported us so far. We’re in the final week of the campaign and over three quarters the way to our funding goal! We’re well within reach of the goal, but we’ll need your help. The funding goal wasn’t arbitrary - if we don’t reach it, then the project will be put on hold, none of your credit cards will be charged, and no one will get a LimeSDR. Community-driven free and open source hardware projects rely on individuals’ support to get off the ground. LimeSDR is no different. If you haven’t yet pledged for a LimeSDR, please do! if you have, please help spread the word far and wide to everyone you know, be it by social media, email, in-person, or carrier pigeon.

A few new initiatives to thank everyone for their support:

Extended Campaign Pricing

We’ve doubled the number of the second flock of early bird units so that anyone helping us reach our funding goal will enjoy the campaign-only price of $249. Once the campaign is over, the pre-order price of $289 will kick in. Once units are actually shipping, the price will jump to $299. Get it while the getting is good!

Lime Alpha Testing Program

The LimeSDR is just the first step toward a future where wireless innovation is both accessible and powerful. We have plans for subsequent versions of the LimeSDR, some of which are on the verge of becoming testable. Of course, once we have testable hardware, we need people to test it! As such, all backers of the LimeSDR campaign will be founding members of the Lime Alpha Testing Program. To start, we’re earmarking 20 units of the next product in the LimeSDR line for this program, at no cost to participants. These alpha units will go to those with the best proposals for LimeSDR applications and demos. We’ll send out a call for proposals as we get closer to the initial round of production, after the current campaign.

Thank you again for all your support!

Sincerely,
Jessica and the rest of the Lime team

$299

LimeSDR

The LimeSDR is based on Lime Microsystem’s latest generation of field programmable RF transceiver technology, combined with FPGA and microcontroller chipsets. These connect to a computer via USB3. LimeSDR then delivers the wireless data and the CPU provides the computing power required to process the incoming signals, and to generate the data to be transmitted by the LimeSDR to all other devices.

$99

Acrylic Case

A layered acrylic case to protect your LimeSDR. Can be used with either USB Type A or micro USB Type B. Antenna not included - separate purchase available.

$599

LimeSDR with Aluminum Kit

Start developing apps based on Lime Microsystem’s latest generation of field programmable RF transceiver technology. This board comes with fancy aluminum casing. The board will be delivered with turnkey support for a diverse range of SDR ecosystem software, a powerful API and rapid prototyping environment. All the boards in this category will come with a fancy Aluminum casing coated with high quality material, cables, and antennas for a quick set up.

$799

Ultimate LimeSDR With PCIe Interface

Start developing apps based on Lime Microsystem’s latest generation of field programmable RF transceiver technology. The board will be delivered with turnkey support for a diverse range of SDR ecosystem software, a powerful API and rapid prototyping environment. All the boards in this category will come with a PCIe interface, cables and Antennas for a quick set up.

$85

Four Antenna + Cable Pairs

Omni-directional antenna set, covering frequency ranges 800-960 MHz, 1710-2170 MHz, and 2400-2700 MHz. Includes U.FL to SMA cables.

$169

GPIO Board

This stackable expansion board for the LimeSDR provides individually settable, bi-directional level-shifted I/O for FPGA GPIO 0-7. Each I/O has a high-voltage and power Darlington drive stage suitable for inductive loads, such as coaxial relays. LimeSDR not included.

$79

Hacker Case

This custom acrylic case accommodates both a LimeSDR and a GPIO Board, and includes SMA connectors for all RF ports, two SMA connectors for clock I/O, and a 40 mm cooling fan. LimeSDR and GPIO Board not included.
