Hi everyone! Here’s a brief update on the current status of Omega2 LTE production. Let’s dive right in.

Production is on schedule! The Omega2 LTE Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) have been produced and tested! We’re happy to report that no defects have been found.

Here’s a peek at the PCBs:

You’ll notice that there are 4 copies of the same board on a single sheet, this is common practice to make the SMT process more efficient and increase the number of boards produced per minute of active machine time. During the manufacturing of the PCBs, channels are cut along the board borders on the sheet, so that the individual boards can be broken apart after the SMT is complete and the solder cools.

What’s Next

• The next stage of production is PCB Assembly, where we’ll be permanently affixing electronics components and modules to the PCBs
• After PCB assembly is completed over the course of the next week, we’ll be moving on to testing and quality control
