Manufacturing Update - Order Placed for PCB and Components

by Louis Beaudoin

This is just a quick update on the manufacturing status of the SmartLED Shield for Teensy 4. The design was 99% complete when the campaign ended, and I just had to make some minor tweaks before ordering. I placed the order for PCBs and components with my manufacturer on September 22nd. China has a big national holiday in October and my manufacturer is stopped for about a week, so it’s only been about a week total of manufacturing and sourcing time.

The next update should include a photo of the panelized PCBs ready to be assembled.

LED Art Chat

There’s a small but growing group meeting weekly at Hackaday.io to discuss LED Art projects, and we’d love to have more cool people join the chat! It’s a great place to casually drop in to share what you’re working on, see what others are working on, and get help if you need it.

We meet every Wednesday at 1PM Pacific time: LED Art Chat

Hope to see you there!
