New Software Updates

Shipping is continuing according to plan with about 23 orders shipping out today. Also, the final set of orders received during the crowdfunding phase are scheduled for shipment on Friday, August 4, 2017. We briefly had an issue with getting some components, now all is sorted and back to normal.

Meanwhile, we’ve been making some good progress on the firmware and GUI software. We’ve tweaked our filters and algorithms to give better results. Please make sure to update the latest Firmware and GUI.

To show you the significance of these changes, here is what the signals used to look like in the first version of the firmware release. Notice the noise in the respiration waveform signal.

In the latest version of the firmware, we have improved signal quality greatly which has resulted in more accurate calculation of parameters. Notice the smoother waveform signal.

We’ve also put a new guide on how to upgrade the HealthyPi v3 firmware. Please make sure to update the firmware and the processing GUI for best performance. If you’ve been getting SpO2 readings that have been a bit off, please update the firmware and check.

We have a new Battery HAT !!

If you have purchased our Battery HAT for Raspberry Pi, you have received a black board rather than the green one shown in the original campaign page. This is our latest and greatest version of the Battery HAT. We have yet to put up detailed documentation about that, but you just need to plug it into the Raspberry header to provide power to the Pi. The new design also provides a kind of UPS (uninterrupted power) functionality to gracefully switch between USB power, charging and battery power modes without actually resetting the Pi or losing power.

If you come across any bug/feature-request/problem, please feel free to write to us at sales@protocentral.com. You can also open an issue on our GitHub repository at https://github.com/protocentral/protocentral-healthypi-v3/issues.
